Peanut Allergy Prevention: New Guidelines for Early Introduction

 

New guidelines recommend that before 11 months, all infants should start eating age-appropriate peanut-containing foods. The ideal age is closer to 6 months. According to a landmark study called LEAP, early introduction of peanut products significantly decreased allergy in high risk children.
